Joe's Story
The Beginning
Joe's parents migrated from São Jorge, Azores in search of a better life. His father found work at a dairy in Modesto while Joe attended Ceres High School, learning the values of hard work and dedication that would shape his future.
September 1, 1989
Joe's father started his own dairy business — a proud moment for the family and the beginning of a legacy. Joe worked alongside his father, learning every aspect of ethical dairy farming.
1999 - Idaho Years
Seeking new challenges, Joe moved to Idaho where he managed two dairy farms. This experience expanded his knowledge and refined his vision for what ethical dairy farming could be.
Valley Gold Co-Op
Returning to California, Joe helped establish the Valley Gold Co-Op, rising to Vice President. Here, he championed the rights of small farmers and advocated for sustainable practices.
Agricultural Specialist
Joe's expertise led him to work as an agricultural specialist at a law office, where he helped farmers navigate complex regulations while staying true to ethical farming principles.
Today — 7+ Years Strong
Joe started his own dairy business, combining decades of experience with an unwavering commitment to animal welfare. Today, the farm thrives, producing premium raw milk from happy, healthy animals.
